alda (알다)

Simplex verb

Verb meaning: KNOW [know]

Comment: The morphological causative of this verb can mean various things from 'let so. know' up to 'inform sb.'. The morphological causative adds a dative argument to the verb's valency. Curiously, this verb does not undergo passivisation in its base form, but instead, apprently one has to apply the morphological causative first, and then passivise the verb using the periphrastic passive (see ex. 299).
