Simplex verb

Verb meaning: SHOUT AT [shout-at]

Comment: SCREAM and SHOUT AT may be expressed by same verbs béic, scairt and glaoigh; both scairt and glaoigh imply the idea of calling, summoning, with screamed/shouted at person flagged with ar, while béic rather means 'yell, shout' (the cognate noun béic is also used in the complex expression lig béic 'release a scream, call'). The anger implied by English SHOUT AT may be found with béic and scairt, not with glaoigh
the passive seems to be found only in the meaning 'call, summon'
