Verb meaning: WASH [wash]

Comment: A transitive verb; but can also be used intransitively in the inchoative-causative alternation involving a patientive subject. The verb meaning itself is 'bathe'. Unlike its variant fò̩, it is always used in connection with animate referents, alive or dead, and sometimes body parts, e.g. hand(s), leg(s) and the face.
