zhuāng (装(载))

Unknown verb

Verb meaning: LOAD [load]

Comment: zhuāng is used as a transitive verb in practically the same way as load. Often a PP is used pre-verbally to indicate the direction or loading or where something is placed. zhuāng can be followed by a complement, which is usually mǎn meaning full to indicate the result of loading, or sometimes shàng meaning onto or with. And that is why it can enter the BA and BEI alternations.
