ko-inkar 'guard/protect sb' (vt) is a lexicalixed applicative; a non-lexicalized form (if existed) should have had a meaning 'look at sth/sb' but I could not find it the sources. Cf. e-ko-nukar 'protect sb from sth' (vd) (Nakagawa 1995: 179)
