The reciprocal alternation is encoded by adding the reciprocal pronoun allḗlōn 'each other', which may establish a reciprocal relationship either between the two arguments of a bivalent verb (direct reciprocal) or between the first and the third argument of a trivalent verb (indirect reciprocals; see Inglese & Zanchi 2021)
