Alternation ‘voice alternation - anticausative’ (Coded)

In Greek the anticausative alternation is marked by continuants of the PIE mediopassive or ‘middle’ which, in some cases, is to be interpreted as an anticausative. For the aorist and the future stem, a dedicated morpheme -(th)ē- that encodes the passive (and to a more limited extent the anticausative) voice is found. No Agent expression is allowed in the anticausative voice.
