In Latin some verbs optionally leave unexpressed the argument in the direct object function (i.e., in the Acc case), which is conceived as lacking any referentiality, definiteness, and specificity. Some two-place and three-place verbs allow for the omissione of the direct object: the former can omit the P-like argument (i.e.,being used in an intransitive frame), whereas the latter can omit the T-like argument.
